Advanced Put Message

By right-clicking a queue in the QueueView, a popup menu appears from which the option Advanced Put Message may be selected. This displays the following dialog:

From this dialog, a variety of choices exist which allow messages to be put to the selected queue. The message data may be taken from the following sources:

File - The message data will be read from the named file and put to the queue as-is and without modification. The file name may be entered directly or browsed for with the browse button and associated file chooser dialog.
Screen - The message data will be read from the text input area called Screen Source. The message data will contain exactly the data entered on the window.
Size - A fixed size message of generated bytes will be written to the queue.

Once the source of the data has been selected, the Count field identifies how many messages of this type will be written to the queue.

By selecting the MQMD tab of the dialog, various options relating to the message may be specified:

Putting RFH2 formatted messages

By selecting RFH2 as the format in the MQMD tab, the RFH2 panel becomes viewable. In this panel, settings for an RFH2 header message may be supplied. This will result in an RFH2 header being prefixed to the primary message body.
