Within the queue view from the popup menu when looking at a specific queue, an option is available to consume messages. This causes the selected queue to be drained of messages. In addition, as new messages arrive, these too will also be consumed. As MQJExplorer consumes the messages, it can be configured to report every interval where the interval is a configurable number of seconds. The report includes the total number of messages read, elapsed time that consumption of messages has been active and, most importantly, how may messages per second were consumed from the queue each interval.
By pressing the Start button, consumption of messages begins. To suspend consumption of messages, the Stop button may be selected.
