Selecting Queue Managers

Both local and remote queue managers may be viewed with MQJExplorer.  The following dialog is displayed when a queue manager is to be selected:

The dialog is split into two halves.  In the top half, a local queue manager name may be entered.  In the bottom half, the name of a remote queue manager and the MQ connection specification may be entered.

For remote queue managers, if the network connection is slow, it may take some time to retrieve the necessary information.

If using a remote queue manager, the following attributes must be configured on that queue manager:

• A channel definition for a SVRCONN channel called SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN
  
  For example:  define channel(SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN) chltype(SVRCONN) mcauser('mqm')
   
• A running MQSeries command server
  
  For example: strmqcsv <queueManagerName>
